Minnesota EMS Honor Guard

Application

Thank you for your interest in joining the Minnesota EMS Honor Guard, this brief paragraph is intended to give you an idea of what the training requirements are for all members. The Minnesota EMS Honor Guard holds 5 eight-hour training sessions per year, one in each February, April, June, August, and October. All members are required to attend two full sessions a year which can be accomplished by attending two full days or four half days. Training consists of all of the elements that would go into a LODD funeral, non-LODD funeral, and opening ceremonies at conferences. These elements include but are not limited to; marching, facing movements, color guard detail, casket/door guards, flag folding, and table top exercises on how to plan a LODD funeral. Hopefully this has given you a brief explanation of our training requirements, again thank you for your interest in becoming a probationary member and if you have any additional questions feel free to ask them.

Adam La Plount
