Brian Jon Alnes, 53, Swanville First Responders, died in the line-of-duty of

COVID-19. As a veteran firefighter and EMR, Brian’s work was instrumental

in many facets. He was a DNR instructor, started the CISM Program at Crystal

Fire and Rescue Squad, and served as Chaplain for Morrison and Todd

Counties. Devoted to his community and his faith, Brian’s true passion was

through his work as a pastor and serving as the Executive Director at Lake

Beauty Bible Camp in Long Prairie, MN. Known as “Pastor of Discomfort’, he

inspired others to get out of their comfort zone ana improve as individuals. His

motto: "Have a great day and remember who gave it to you!” Along with his

devoted service to his community, his infectious laugh, smile, and

unmistakable loud voice will be forever remembered. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and 4-wheeling, but most loved spending time with his family. Brian was a devoted husband to Rhonda, father to Peter, Caleb, Nathan, and Joshua, hunting partner to his beloved dog, Tank, and a grandfather.
