 Shawn Stoermann joined the Honor Guard in 2007 and was elected as the Honor Guard Commander in 2018.  Shawn began his EMS career in 1990 as an EMT with Melrose Ambulance Service in Melrose, MN.  After obtaining his Paramedic, he began working as a Paramedic in 1992 with Austin Ambulance which became Gold Cross Ambulance in 1996.  During his time at Gold Cross, Shawn served as a Paramedic/FTO/Education Coordinator.  Currently, Shawn works for Brown County Emergency Management as their full-time Emergency Manager; Allina Health EMS as a Paramedic; and, he also is a Paramedic Faculty member for South Central College.  Shawn also volunteers as a Community Service Officer / Paramedic with the Meeker County Sheriff’s Department.  Shawn has served the Honor Guard in the following roles: Operations Officer (2014-2018), Commander of the Ceremonial Rifle Team (2015-2018), Regional Officer (2011-2014) and represented the Honor Guard as a Presenter at the 2013 National EMS Memorial Service. 

Nigel Masters has been a member of the MN EMS Honor Guard since 2012. Nigel started his EMS career in 2010 with North Memorial Ambulance in Brainerd, MN. Nigel has also held the role of Lead Paramedic and FTO for Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service in St. Cloud, MN, and also served as a Tactical Medic for the St. Cloud Police Department SWAT team. He currently works as a Flight Paramedic and preceptor for Life Link III out of Alexandria, MN, as well as a Paramedic for the Glacial Ridge Health System Emergency Department in Glenwood, MN. Nigel is a charter member of the Honor Guard Ceremonial Rifle team and has been a presenter at the National EMS Memorial Service 

  Catherine Johnson currently has been serving the Honor Guard since 2006 and as the Secretary/Treasurer since 2013.  Catherine obtained her EMT in 2001 and began her EMS career in Graceville, MN as a volunteer EMT.  After obtaining her Paramedic in 2005, she started working for Mercy Moose Lake Ambulance and North Memorial - Webster, WI as a Paramedic.  Since 2005, Catherine has worked as a Paramedic, EMS Educator, and Transport RN.  Catherine is currently working as the Learning Manager for the Minnesota Department of Health. Prior to becoming the Secretary/Treasurer, Catherine served the Honor Guard as a Regional Officer.
